We love getting to know athletes who are as crazy about PHUEL as we are! We sat down with competitive triathlete Kalletta Caldwell to find out what makes her push outside her comfort zone, why she loves PHUEL, and a few other fun facts.

Behind the Triathlete
Q: Do you have another profession aside from your athletic career?
A: I do! My day job is in the corporate world as a program manager for a tech company.
Q: When you’re not working and training, where would we be most likely to find you, who would be with you, and what would you be doing?
A: I love spending time with my husband and my chocolate lab, Sawyer. We love to go on hikes or just hang out. I also like to paint and have recently taken up sewing. But what I really love is to travel to new places and see the world, and racing has allowed me so many opportunities to do that!
Q: Do you have a favorite “cheat meal”?
A: Pizza, pizza, and more pizza!
Q: What drives you to train as hard as you do every day?
A: To thrive in endurance sports, you have to be willing to push yourself—physically and mentally—outside of your comfort zone in training and on race day. Reminding myself how it feels to cross the finish line first or beat my goal time gets me through hard workouts—and gets me out of bed on days I’d rather sleep in! I also really look forward to training with my friends. Knowing I get to spend time with them keeps me going.
Q: What do you love most about PHUEL?
A: I love how easy it is to use. I get “on the go” recovery, which is great when you have a full-time job you need to get to quickly after a long and grueling morning workout!
Q: How is PHUEL different from other muscle performance/muscle relief products you’ve tried?
A: It actually helps me prevent really bad muscle tightness and soreness. With other products, I’ve had to wait until I’m so sore I can hardly move, and then it seems like they just mask the symptoms temporarily.
