Meet Ki’anie Brooks: certified personal trainer, strength & conditioning coach, competitive bodybuilder, and sprinter.

As a trainer, coach, and competitive athlete, Ki’anie knows a thing or two about what it takes to be successful. We’ll be talking to Ki’anie about everything from challenges facing athletes to how PHUEL fits into his routine. But first, let’s find out what makes him tick inside and outside the gym.

Q: What do you love about being a trainer and a coach?
A: Every day, I have a new opportunity to change someone’s life. I love that I get to share my passion and knowledge to help people make positive changes.

Q: When you’re not with your clients and athletes, where would we be most likely to find you, who would be with you, and what would you be doing?
A: In the gym working on bettering my OWN self. Spending time with my amazing wife, Brittany, and my canine sidekick, Baxter. Researching the latest training and nutritional methods. And watching YouTube—my guilty pleasure.

Q: How do you celebrate athletic accomplishments?
A: I’ve been known to eat a donut or two to celebrate. My wife and I love a good donut! But really, I reflect briefly on what I just accomplished, and then get right back to thinking about how I can become even better.

Q: What drives you to train as hard as you do every day?
A: What keeps me pushing is telling myself, like I tell my clients, that every day is a new opportunity to see what the body can do. I also focus on the fact that nothing is permanent—there’s always room for change—and without action, you will not see that change. Something else that drives me is thinking about how hard my clients and athletes push every day, and wanting to be a great example for them.

Q: What do you love most about PHUEL?
A: If I had to pick one thing, I’d say it’s how it helps limit muscle soreness so I can get back in the gym and kill it again tomorrow! Having that tangible “proof” that it’s actually working is why I believe in PHUEL as much as I do.

Q: Why do you recommend PHUEL to your athletes and clients?
A: I recommend PHUEL to athletes and clients because it can provide a better training experience, and help them reach their full potential and achieve long-term results. Without it, you would never know what you’re capable of. So why not give it a shot?
